An 18-year-old Arlington Heights woman who was
reported missing since Dec. 5 was reported safe Tuesday at a friend's house in
Portland, Ore., police in the northwest suburb said.
FBI officials in Portland confirmed that Tammy Wolf,
of the 800 block of Kingsley Drive, was safe and notified Arlington Heights
investigators Tuesday afternoon.
Agents learned of Wolf's whereabouts after talking to
some of her friends, whom she called after arriving in Oregon.
Police said they are not sure how Wolf got to
Portland. On the day of her disappearance she withdrew $500 from a bank account
and got another $200 in cash from a credit card advance.
Her family has not heard from Wolf since Dec. 5, when
she left the house saying she was going to the store. She told police Tuesday
that she plans to return to her family.
