WA: UWA tests Malaysian herbal asthma cure

PERTH, April 6 AAP - Asthma sufferers are being sought by the University of Western
Australia to take part in a trial of a Malaysian herbal asthma cure.

Volunteers will be asked to drink a herbal concoction which, after a five-day course
of treatment, is reputed to have kept some patients free from asthma for years.

The university's Asthma and Allergy Research Institute will ask volunteers to take
the drink for five days and undergo a check up two months later.

The 13-week trial will be carried out at the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
